Marriage Contract

Marriage – is a family union between a woman and a man, which is registered in territorial bodies of state registration of acts of civil status.
The territorial registry office accepts applications and familiarizes the applicants with their rights and responsibilities, the procedure for registration of marriage and in consultation with the applicants appoints Wedding day – 1 month after the application.
In Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens, foreigners and stateless persons can marry.
The state registration of marriage is certified by a Marriage Certificate approved by the Cabinet Ministers of Ukraine.
The marriage contract – is the agreement of the persons who are getting marry or the agreement of the married couple, defining property rights and duties of the married couple and (or) in case of divorcement.
Grounds for marriage registration in Ukraine:
- the desire of a citizen (s) of Ukraine to register a marriage with a foreigner
- foreigner’s desire to register a marriage with a citizen of Ukraine
- foreigner’s desire to apply for a temporary or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- foreigner’s desire to obtain citizenship in Ukraine
